This week we will learn some new exercises to keep our mind sharp and our body mobile. I had the privilege of attending Delay the Disease this weekend. It is a class specifically designed to help people with Parkinson's Disease. The techniques will help anybody. Come see what it's all about!
Monday and Thursday 10:30-11:15 and Saturday 9:45-10:30 at the Hilliard Community Center. EXTRAS: Thursday we will head to Solar Cafe after our fitness class. If you'd like to meet us there, plan to arrive around 11:45. I met with the new chef last week. They have a whole new menu to try! Let me know if you'd like to go and I will call ahead.

Monday, February 15th, the Hilliard Community Center will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day. However, Debbie Cordial and her mom, Jane, invite us to hold our class at Avondale. We will have our 10:30-11:15 class at National Church Residences - Avondale
5215 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43016 Map & Directions Avondale will provide a large space (holds approximately 100) and chairs. It is an easy drive up Avery. The entrance is on the left. Follow the signs to the leasing office. (The leasing office faces Avery Road.) Go in and look for the community center. Someone will be there to greet you. There is plenty of parking. I'll see you at 10:30 tomorrow morning! 9:45-10:30am, At the Hilliard Community Center, Come for a fantastic fitness class! This class will introduce you and the people you love to better fitness and a healthier lifestyle. Bring as many guests as you like -All are welcome! We'll use the bands and small balls that day. This is fantastic! Tomorrow (Thursday), we will use the stability balls and weights. Remember, if you prefer to not use them, that is fine! The New Lifestyle classes are open for all ages and fitness levels. I will demonstrate each exercise to enhance or modify to suit your fitness level. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring your own water. We will use a variety of equipment including chairs, weights, bands, and small balls. Equipment is provided. Maintaining health is so much easier than gaining it, so keep up that healthy lifestyle! The New Lifestyle fitness classes will help create energy and focus. Remember to feed your body with nutritious food so it can improve your immunity and help you heal from the inside. For breakfast I really enjoy my "nutmeal". I take about a handful of raw almonds and pecans or walnuts, about 6 dates, and about a cup of coconut or almond milk. I use my food processor to make it a fine consistency. I add about a tablespoon of honey and some cinnamon and top it off with fruit. Enjoy it hot or cold. The week of December 21st, our classes are Monday and WEDNESDAY at the Hilliard Community Center at 10:30am. Learn functional fitness - fitness you use in everyday activities - in fun and creative ways. Wednesday we'll use the large stability balls. For Hilliard City School employees, you are encouraged to join these classes since we won't have our Fresh Start classes Tuesday/Thursday classes at Hilliard Station during break. If you'd like a personal or small group (up to 4) coaching session, let me know what works with your schedule. Gift Certificates for a free class are for sale. They are $5 each. Get one FREE if you buy 5! The drop in fee is $5 through the end of the year. In January, the drop in fee will be $7. The prepay monthly rate will be $50 (an $84 value!)
