Speaker: Judith McQuain will hold a creativity and painting class at 6:30pm, April 18th. Location: Hilliard Community Center. RSVP required.
"Art is Soul Food" - A discussion on creativity and a painting class, all in one night. This class is for everyone who ever said " I can't even draw a stick figure", or wondered why weird paintings make it into museums, or why is there art in the first place, or "I wish I could paint but I don't have any talent." We will attempt to cover all that on April 18. Come and join the fun. Saturdays - April 15 and April 22, class will be in my home fitness studio. Sign ups required. April 15 is Easter Saturday, so the Center is closed and April 22 is Earth Day. After fitness, visit the Center to see the vendors on Earth Day. As you gain cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength and endurance, your workouts change. You are able to do more and more - things that you may have given up because of "your age". I want to tell you how impressed I am with your growth and abilities. Your attitude speaks loudly. In fact, you love exercise so much now that you are inviting your children and grandchildren to attend classes too! On Saturday, we had 3 generations in one family and 2 generations in another family! What a great example of lifelong learning! You are also inviting your spouse. When you have support it is much easier to stick with healthy living. It's never too late to start a healthier lifestyle!!! I have several new people in the class who recognize how much better life becomes if they stick with exercise. Be encouraged!! Come to class!! Listen as people share their testimonies - such as these: I slept like a log last night & I am just the right kind of sore this morning! Enough to know my muscles worked out, but I can still sit, stand, & walk!! Jane has a beautiful powerful gift in helping others to get stronger & better every day! Regardless of where they begin. Jane is positive and encouraging. She can modify anything and you never feel awkward asking for a modification. Everyone is happily chatting and exercising together.

"You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old." - George Burns
I've heard so many comments about how people feel they are "old". They feel tired, sluggish, low energy, sad, and unmotivated. The number one way to help avoid this and to turn these feelings around is.... EXERCISE! Exercise helps improve feelings of hope, energy, joy, confidence, and a sense of self-worth. Live it!! My classes will motivate you and encourage you. You may find yourself smiling!! :) On Friday I became certified in Matter of Balance. It helps manage falls and increase confidence. Every single person had a fall story. Keep active! My April Promotion: Bring a guest to our group classes or personal coaching session and earn a free personal coaching session for you and your guest (to be used in April). You will both feel empowered! You and your guest will also have the first group class free!! Prepayment for the month entitles you to unlimited group classes. $50. Drop in fee is $7. Monday, April 10, we will go to Olympic Diner Family Restaurant! 5454 Roberts Rd. It's where Chef's House was. I'll bring a few menus to class. I'll keep you posted on the speaker. Judith McQuain will teach an art class. Time and location to follow. Come to classes! Be active! Keep moving!! Here are a few reasons:
The exercises and stretching helps my body to stay limber and stretched out. Any headache or muscle stiffness that I have is gone by the end of class. I believe that consistent exercise keeps me to stay healthy and prevents me from getting sick. I haven’t been sick during the entire flu season. I have noticed a huge improvement and I am constantly aware of my posture. Love the core and flexibility that we constantly work on. Come!!! |
